I'm getting Gradle errors about missing resources when I try to build on Android

If you are seeing errors like these when you build your project:

Resource missing. [HTTP GET: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/layerhq/releases-android/master/releases/com/android/support/appcompat-v7/maven-metadata.xml]

Failed to get resource: GET. [HTTP HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/layerhq/releases-android/master/releases/com/android/support/appcompat-v7/]

Resource missing. [HTTP GET: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/layerhq/releases-android/master/releases/com/google/android/gms/play-services/maven-metadata.xml]

Failed to get resource: GET. [HTTP HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/layerhq/releases-android/master/releases/com/google/android/gms/play-services/]

Then you may need to tweak your build.gradle file by changing:

compile 'com.layer.sdk:layer-sdk:0.9.x'`

to

compile(group: 'com.layer.sdk', name: 'layer-sdk', version: '0.9.x') { exclude group: 'com.android.support', module: 'appcompat-v7' exclude group: 'com.google.android.gms', module: 'play-services' }
